About Me

I'm so excited to have you here, welcome! My name is Veronika, and like many others, I found my way to sewing during lockdown back in 2020. I got hooked right away and have invested every spare minute into learning the craft ever since! Once the lockdown lifted, I began taking local sewing classes where I met my mentors: two incredible seamstresses who have worked in the fashion industry for over 40 years. Everything I know about clothing construction and pattern drafting is because of them and their invaluable guidance. And 4 years later, I continue to attend their classes every week! <3Once I had a very solid foundation in sewing and physical pattern drafting, I joined a pattern making school where I learned how to digitally draft and grade sewing patterns. I spent one year learning from the incredible teachers at the school and this education has allowed me to digitise my patterns and be able to offer them in a size inclusive range made up of over 20 sizes!Whether you are brand new to sewing, or a seasoned sewist already - my goal is to offer you a library of size inclusive sewing patterns that have been tested and are clear, thorough and provide you with everything you need to successfully sew your own version of the design!

The Marlini Dress

A perfect & quick project for complete beginners <3

All you will need to make this dress is:
1) The free pattern (comes with an instruction booklet + a video tutorial)
2) A round tablecloth with a diameter of 175 cm / 70 in. (A bit smaller or bigger works just fine too!)
3) A sewing machine with a zigzag stitch or a serger
4) 60 cm / 23.6 in of bias tape

This tablecloth design is suitable for sizes XS-M (see size chart below for exact measurements).

Pattern available in A4/US Letter print-at-home, A0 & Projector File

Size Chart

CMINCHES
Bust72 - 9328.3 - 36.6
Waist60 - 7923.6 - 31.1
Hips85 - 10533.5 - 41.3

Since this dress is made using a standard tablecloth size, the possible size range is unfortunately very limited! :( This project is suitable for you if your measurements fall within the ranges displayed in the table.Keep in mind that if you are towards the lower end of the range, the dress will have a very loose fit whereas if you fall closer to the higher end, it will be more form-fitting. For reference, these are the model's measurements: B: 85 cm, W: 72 cm, H: 98 cm

FYI: All of my other patterns offer a much wider size range (made up of 20+ different sizes) as size inclusivity is very important to me! This pattern is the only exception as the whole project is constructed around a pre-set tablecloth measurement. <3
